โ Frequently Asked Questions
How many Collaborative Challenges Boxes do I need?
We recommend 1 box per 4-6 soldiers or family units. Each box contains 65+ challenges designed for 2-6 participants, providing plenty of variety for repeated use. For a 30-soldier platoon, order 5-6 boxes to ensure all teams can work simultaneously.
Can I mix Individual Skills and Team Building materials?
Absolutely! Many units use Individual Skills materials for personal development and Team Building materials for collective training. Both approaches complement each other and strengthen overall unit cohesion.
Do I need a Trainer Certification Kit?
While not required, we highly recommend at least one Trainer Kit per unit. It provides comprehensive guidance, sample materials, and digital resources that ensure consistent, high-quality training delivery. For large organizations (battalion-level or higher), consider 1 kit per 100 soldiers.
What's the shelf life of these materials?
All Collabor8 materials are durable and designed for long-term use. Guidebooks and notebooks have indefinite shelf life. Challenge boxes are made from quality materials that withstand repeated use. With proper care, your materials will serve multiple training cycles and unit rotations.
Can materials be reused for different groups?
Collaborative Challenges Boxes and Core Values Cards are fully reusable across multiple groups and training events. Guidebooks and notebooks are individual items designed for personal use and reflection, so each participant should receive their own.
How long does a typical Collabor8 session last?
Collabor8 is flexible! Individual team challenges take 5-15 minutes. A complete team strengthening session (multiple challenges with reflection) typically runs 1-2 hours. Full collaborative planning sessions range from 2-4 hours depending on depth. The program adapts to your available training time.
Are the family materials suitable for all ages?
Yes! The Couples & Families materials are specifically designed for ages 3 and up. Challenges range from simple collaborative tasks for young children to more complex problem-solving for teens and adults. This eliminates the need for separate childcare during family events.
What's the difference between Team Member Skills Kit and Team Planning Kit?
The Team Member Skills Kit focuses on individual development of 8 essential team skills (ownership, collaboration, planning, communication, trust, reflection, perspective-taking, and consistency). The Team Planning Kit focuses on collective team alignment through collaborative planning (mission, values, vision, goals). Many units use both for comprehensive team development.
